Intro to the Pricing Options' General tab

This article covers the general options available when creating pricing options. We will break down each section for you.  

 

In the general option you can edit and update your reference name and GL Code.

Tax Options & Policies

Option Description

Default

This pricing option will have the default global tax rate (currently 20%)
Inherit from facility This pricing option will inherit the tax policy or tax option from the facility at which the item is being purchased or the activity being booked is running.
Tax Options

This pricing option will use the tax rate provided by the selected Tax Option, set up via the “System Configuration” module.

 

Ask for price

When selected, the member of staff will be presented with a modal window where they can input a custom price to be used when this item is being purchased. This price will override any set on the pricing option

Capture notes

When selected, the member of staff will be presented with a modal window where they can input up to three additional values to be captured when the item is being purchased.

Can be sold as extra

When selected, this pricing option can be added as an “Extra” that can be purchased alongside a fast ticket, by the customer in the booking app, or by a member of staff in front-of-house. Only POS pricing options can be sold as extras.

Barcodes

Barcode is typically used for a POS pricing option that allows the staff member to scan a barcode on the item to return the product via FOH (and in a future state the POS module) for sale. Scanning will return the item and its price in the basket.
