Accessibility Statement for OpenPlay

At OpenPlay, we are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, including
people with disabilities. We strive to continuously enhance the user experience by adhering to the
latest accessibility standards, particularly the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

Accessibility Features

To meet the needs of our diverse audience, we have implemented several accessibility features in
accordance with WCAG 2.2 guidelines, including:
  • Screen Reader Compatibility: We have structured our content to work effectively with screen readers, ensuring proper navigation, descriptive alt text for images, and accessible ARIA
    (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) roles.
  • Consistent Identification: Links, buttons, and controls are consistently labelled and operate
the same across the website, helping users with cognitive impairments easily understand
    their function.
  • Text Alternatives: All non-text content, such as images and multimedia, is equipped with
appropriate alt text or captions to assist users with visual impairments.
  • Accessible Forms: Our forms are designed with clear labels, instructions, and error
identification to be accessible for users with assistive technologies.
  • Drag-and-Drop Alternatives: Any drag-and-drop functionality includes alternative methods of
interaction, allowing users to achieve the same tasks without needing to use a mouse.
  • Keyboard Navigation: Our website is fully navigable using a keyboard, with clear focus
indicators to help users see where they are on the page.
  • Colour Contrast and Customisation: We ensure a strong colour contrast between text and
background elements to aid readability. Users can also adjust text size and customise their
viewing experience without losing content or functionality.
  • Focus Appearance: We’ve enhanced the visibility of focus indicators, as per WCAG 2.2
guidelines, to ensure users can easily identify interactive elements when navigating by
    keyboard.

Ongoing Commitment

We regularly audit and review our website for accessibility compliance, making improvements as
new guidelines or technologies become available. Our goal is to ensure an inclusive experience for
all users, and we continuously monitor and update our content in line with evolving accessibility
standards.
