Summary
Pinned Customers allows Front of House staff to keep frequently used customer accounts easily accessible as tabs. This is particularly useful for regularly accessed accounts, such as internal accounts used for block bookings or repeat customers.
You can pin up to three customers at a time for quick access without needing to search for them again.
How It Works
When viewing a customer in Front of House, you can pin them to the top of the customer tabs area.
Pinned customers:
- Remain available on the same computer after you log out and back in.
- Stay visible across multiple days.
- Are stored locally on that device only.
- Do not sync to other computers, even when using the same login.
Step-By-Step Guide
- Search for and open a customer in Front of House.
- In the customer panel, locate the Pin Customer icon in the top right corner of the customer card.
- Click on the icon to Pin the Customer.
The customer will now appear as a pinned tab.
Unpinning a Customer
- Open the pinned customer.
- Click on the Pin icon in the top right corner of the customer card.
- The customer will be removed from your pinned tabs.
Identifying Pinned Customers
Pinned customer tabs can be identified by:
- A bookmark icon is displayed next to the customer name.
- A yellow highlight when the tab is selected.
Important Notes
Maximum Number of Pinned Customers
You can pin a maximum of three customers.
If you already have three pinned customers, you must unpin one before pinning another.
Relationship with Recent Customer Tabs
A customer cannot appear as both:
- A pinned customer tab, and
- A recent customer tab.
If a customer is pinned, they will always appear as a pinned tab.
Pinned customers always take priority over recent customer tabs.
Local Device Storage
Pinned customers are stored locally on the computer being used.
This means:
✅ Available when returning to the same computer.
❌ Not available on another computer, even when using the same account.
❌ May be removed if browser cache, local storage, or site data is cleared.
