Summary
You can now link Pre-purchase inductions so that completing one induction can satisfy the requirement for another. Previously an Activities V2 template could only require a single induction. Linking means a customer who has completed a higher or equivalent induction does not need to repeat a specific one before they can book.

Overview
When a restriction's type is Pre-purchase induction, you can link it to other Pre-purchase inductions. Booking eligibility then accepts any of the linked inductions. For example, if an activity requires Starter, and that restriction is also covered by Progression and Accredited, a customer who has completed any one of those three can book.
The customer-facing experience is unchanged: customers still see a single induction to complete, and Activities V2 templates still select one waiver and one induction.
How to link inductions
You link inductions from the restriction itself, in Activities V2 > Restrictions. If you have not created the restrictions yet, see How to create Activity Restrictions - V2.
- Open the restriction you want to configure and make sure its type is Pre-purchase induction.
- Scroll to the new section at the bottom of the configuration page:
- Covers the following restriction(s)
- Also covered by
- Under Covers the following restriction(s), search for another Pre-purchase induction and add it. Completing the current induction will now also satisfy that linked restriction.
- On the linked restriction, the relationship is shown from the other side under Also covered by, so it is clear in both places.
- For any linked restriction you can:
- Select View restriction to open its details page.
- Select Delete to remove the link between the two restrictions.
How booking eligibility works
A customer can satisfy a required induction by having completed either:
- the required induction itself, or
- another induction that is configured to cover it.
Existing waiver and induction rules still apply:
- where the rule is both, the customer must satisfy the waiver requirement and the induction requirement.
- where the rule is either, the customer can satisfy the activity requirement through either the waiver or the induction.
Rules and limits
- One layer of linking only. An induction can cover several other inductions, or be covered by several, but it cannot do both. For example, "Progression" and "Accredited" covering "Starter" is supported; a chain such as "Accredited" covering "Progression" which also covers "Starter" is not.
- Activities V2 templates are unchanged: you can still select one waiver and one induction per template, and customers still see a single induction.
- Activities V1 already supports multiple inductions, so no change is needed there.
- Permissions: the View restriction action only appears for users with permission to view that restriction.
Troubleshooting
I cannot see the linking section.
The Covers the following restriction(s) and Also covered by sections only appear when the restriction type is Pre-purchase induction. Check the restriction type first.
I cannot add a particular induction as a link.
Only other Pre-purchase induction restrictions can be linked, and only one layer of linking is allowed. If an induction is already covered by another, it cannot also cover others.
A customer still cannot book after completing a covering induction.
Check the link is saved under Covers the following restriction(s) on the correct restriction, and that the activity template's waiver and induction rule (both or either) is set as you expect.
I do not see the View restriction action.
That action only shows for users with permission to view the linked restriction.
