How to create Activity Restrictions - V2

Summary

This guide will walk you through creating a new restriction, such as requiring an induction or an induction waiver for liability purposes before customers can access certain activities, like Wall Climbing or purchasing a Gym Membership.

Note: The post-purchase waivers and inductions do not work and should not be used.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Navigate to the Activities Module

    • From the home page, go to the Activities module.

  2. Access Restrictions

    • Click on Restrictions.

  3. Create a New Restriction

    • Click on the Create New Restriction button in the top-right corner.

  4. Select the Restriction Type Choose the appropriate restriction from the following options:

    A) Pre-purchase Waiver

    • A waiver that must be signed before purchasing an activity or class (e.g., an Induction Opt-out waiver).

    B) Pre-purchase Induction

    • Requires customers to attend an induction before purchasing the activity or class.

    C) Post-purchase Waiver - Do not use

    D) Post-purchase Induction - Do not use

    E) Enhanced Pre-purchase Waiver

    • Similar to a Pre-purchase Waiver, but allows adding custom sections (e.g., attendee details, equipment required) and questions (e.g., "Have you climbed before?" or "Do you own a tennis racket?").
      Note: This option is only for Ticketed Bookings Activities.

  5. Fill in the Details
    Once you’ve selected the restriction type, provide the following information:

    • Name
    • Type
    • Induction Activity Category (for inductions only, not applicable to waivers)
    • Expiration (if applicable)

  6. Click Create
    Complete the form by clicking Create.

Additional Steps for Induction Restrictions

If you're creating a Pre- or Post-purchase Induction, you will also need to create the following:

  • Induction Pricing Option

  • Induction Activity Template

  • Induction Activity Schedule

    Note: The induction activity template must match the type of the activity. For example, if the climbing activity uses an "Adhoc" template, the climbing induction should also use an "Adhoc" template.

  1. Apply the Restriction to the Activity Template
    After creating the restriction, you must apply it to the relevant Activity Template . For example, if you created a Climbing Induction, apply it to the Climbing Activity Template..
