Membership Referrals home page: referral statistics

Summary

Promotions > Membership Referrals opens on your live referral offer and the Performance statistics for your referral programme, across every venue and offer.

📊 See how many referrals you are getting, who is referring and what they have earned.

🏆 Rank top referrers by referrals or by rewards, to spot unusually high totals.

🗂️ Every offer you have published is listed with its results.

Staff need the View membership referrals permission to see this page.

Live offer

The top of the page shows the offer members can use now.

  • New members get: the discount on their first payment.
  • Referrers get: the reward and when it is given.
  • Who it applies to: whether referrers need an active membership, and any membership groups the offer is not offered on. Click Show groups to list them.
  • Edit offer and Unpublish: see How to create a Membership Referral (Refer a friend).

If no offer is live, a warning says customers can't use their referral codes, with a Create referral offer button. The statistics still cover your past offers.

If you have never published an offer, a Set up membership referrals panel explains the three steps, and each statistic shows – until members start referring.

Choosing the period

Every statistic covers the period you choose: Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last 12 months, Year to date or Custom. The dates are shown next to the buttons. The period is kept in the page link, so you can share a link to the same view.

Headline figures

Figure What it shows
Referrals New members who joined with a referral code, compared with the previous period of the same length
Active referrers Customers whose code was used, and what share of customers with a code that is
Still active How many referred members still have an active membership
Reward conversion Of the referrals that have been rewarded or missed, the share rewarded. Referrals still waiting are not included
Discounts offered The referral discount multiplied by the number of referrals. A new member whose first payment is less than the discount receives less, so this can be higher than the discount actually given
Referrer credit paid Credit added to referrers' accounts

Referrals over time

Referrals by day, week or month, depending on the length of the period. Click Show table to see the figures as a table. Dates use your organisation's time zone.

Referrer rewards

Where each referral's reward stands.

Status Meaning
Waiting to qualify The new member has not qualified yet
Rewarded Credit has been added to the referrer's account
Missed The new member never qualified, for example because their membership was cancelled
Offline reward Your team gives the reward outside Flow
No reward The offer had no referrer reward for this referral

Troubleshooting

The figures show 0 or £0.00.
No referrals were made in the chosen period. Try a longer period.

The period buttons are greyed out.
No offer has been published yet. They work once you publish your first offer.

I can't see the Membership Referrals page.
Your role needs the View membership referrals permission, and Membership Referrals must be turned on for your organisation. Contact OpenPlay Support if it is not.
