Will the Membership Benefit be reinstated if the customer cancels their booking?

Answer:
This depends on your Cancellation Cut-off setting. For this example, we'll use a 240-minute cut-off setting.

  • If the customer cancels before the cut-off time (e.g., more than 240 minutes before the activity starts), the benefit will be reinstated.

  • If the customer cancels after the cut-off time (e.g., within 239 minutes of the activity), the benefit will not be reinstated, just as the class would not be refunded.


Example Scenarios

Scenario 1: Cancellation within the cut-off window

  • Cancellation Cut-off: 240 minutes.

  • A customer has a Daily Racket benefit they can redeem for a badminton activity.

  • They book a badminton session scheduled to start more than 240 minutes in the future, and the system prompts them to use the benefit.

  • Later, the customer cancels the booking more than 240 minutes before the start time.

  • Result: The benefit is reinstated and available for future use.

Scenario 2: Cancellation outside the cut-off window

  • Cancellation Cut-off: 240 minutes

  • The customer cancels a booking within 239 minutes of the activity start time.

  • Result: The benefit is not reinstated.
