Schedule rules

  • The survey runs on one schedule for all members. It does not depend on when each member joined.
  • Once a day, Moves+ checks whether Days Between Asking have passed since the last run. If they have, a new run starts and members are asked again.
  • Members must answer the survey when they create their account. In later runs they can skip it.
  • Buffer: if a new member answers within Buffer days of the next run, their answers count towards that next run. They are not asked again until the run after it.

Example: Days Between Asking is 90 and Buffer is 14. A member joins 10 days before the next run. They answer when they sign up, and are not asked again for about 100 days.

Survey report columns

Responses are in reports built on the Moves Surveys data source.

Column Meaning
Response ID The ID of the response.
User ID, First Name, Last Name, Email The member who answered.
Survey Title The survey's Title.
Question, Answer The question and the answer chosen, using the current wording.
Answered At When the member answered.
Answer Iteration The number of the survey run the answer belongs to. It is the same for every question in that run. It is not how many times this member has answered.
Skipped Yes if the member skipped, No if they answered.

Example: your survey has run 13 times. A member who joins now gives answers with an Answer Iteration of 13, or 14 if they join within the Buffer. It is still their first answer.

Important: deleting a question or answer removes its past responses from these reports.
