Summary

The primary focus for this development cycle has been priority key defects and a new feature to allow for Membership Re-Ordering.

In addition to the above (detailed below), we have also performed system optimisations, platform security updates, supported clients with 3rd party integrations and member price increases.

Key Defects & Enhancements (Activities V2)

Below is a list of key defects released as part of our ongoing improvement work to Activities V2

  • Resolved reported discrepancies with available capacity on activities, primarily ticketed activities.
  • Resolved reported issue that was occurring when adding or deleting occurrences would result in an error message.

Key Defects

Accurate Billing Day for New Memberships (Multi Memberships)

We resolved an issue where new memberships purchased as part of the multiple membership feature weren’t aligning with the existing billing schedule and defaulted to the sale date. Billing collections will now correctly reflect the designated billing day, regardless of when the membership starts.

Membership Tab Access Restored

Reported cases where admin users experienced a 500 error when trying to open the membership tab on customer profiles. This has now been resolved and is fully accessible.

Guest Pass Functionality

Guest passes weren’t working consistently for all users when trying to send out/redeem a guest pass. This issue was investigated and has now been resolved.

Enhancements

Activities V2 API (MCRA)

  • Updates made to various endpoints available
  • We’ve also introduced middleware to allow users to check out without needing to log in, making the experience faster and more accessible.

Membership Re-Ordering

This new feature allows staff members to select the order in which membership types are displayed on both the online booking journey and when changing memberships online. This can be done for each facility, and allows centres to promote certain memberships by displaying them at the top.

Step 1: Enable feature & check staff permissions

Raise a ticket with Client Support (via Zendesk) to ask for this feature to be enabled via settings in system configuration under ‘enable featured membership types’. Once enabled, the default behaviour is that permissions for this feature will be on for any staff members who have access to the Memberships module.

Step 2: Featuring a Membership Type

Navigate to the Membership Types submodule where the new filter for ‘Facility’ has been introduced.

Once the list of membership types is filtered for a particular facility, a new ‘Featured’ column will be visible and under ‘Actions’, there is a new button which says ‘Feature’.

To select a membership type for re-ordering, click on ‘Feature’ next to the membership type. This will highlight the membership type as ‘featured’ in the ‘Feature’ column.

To remove a membership type, simply click ‘unfeature’ under ‘Actions’.

Step 3: Re-ordering the list of Featured Membership Types

Once one or more membership types are flagged as ‘featured’, would then select the button on the top right of the page to ‘edit featured membership types’.

This opens a window where you can see a list of all featured membership types. You can drag and drop them into another position to re-order, along with the ability to remove membership types from this page. Once happy with your changes, you can press save, which will update the order in which these membership types are displayed online and from the Customer module when purchasing a new membership or upgrading/downgrading.

Any non-featured membership types will be shown AFTER any featured ones, in alphabetical order.

Step 4: See results

Changes to the membership re-ordering feature take effect immediately. Customers will be able to see any featured memberships at the top of the list.

Please find video below demonstrating the above steps.
