Summary
In this guide, we will show you how to set up handoff type reward for the users to redeem.
Users can exchange their Moves+ points for rewards. As the institution administrator, you choose the rewards that you want to show on your app.
There are two types of rewards:
- Merchant Handoff - you state the amount of stock and the user shows their phone to the merchant to redeem the reward (e.g., physical items such as a coffee or uni merchandise); OR
- Discount Code – the user redeems the reward to reveal an electronic code on their screen. Users can then present this code to a merchant or use it to redeem online (e.g., 10% off code to redeem online; 25% off code for your next coffee).
You can also set up a limit on the number of times a reward can be redeemed by using the reward tags and buffers. Users are shown rewards if they are enabled and:
- Available;
- Coming soon; and/or
- Out of stock.
Pro Tips: Expired rewards are not shown in the app. You can show up to 40 rewards at one time on the app.

4.5. Enter the Priority - this is how high up on the Rewards Page in the app you'd like the reward to be displayed (99 is highest priority and therefore displayed at the top of the page... while a reward with a priority of 90 would be displayed below).
4.4. Fill in the description (max 1,024 characters) and terms and conditions (max 1,024 characters).
4.5. Choose a start and end date for when the reward will be live.
4.6. Click to enable the reward (i.e., it will be live and users can view this reward even if the start date is in the future).
4.7. Upload an image of the reward with dimensions 512px x 512px.
4.8. Add a pre-created tag (optional) if you wish to buffer the number of times the reward can be redeemed.
4.9. Click Save.
Pro Tip: When images have a resolution that's too high, you may encounter issues creating your reward. When this happens, simply reduce the image resolution and upload again.
