How do I sync my activity to Moves+?

Question

How does my tracker sync with Moves+?

Answer

Moves+ retrieves data from your tracker/wearable in two ways:

  1. Nightly Sync – Automatic sync at midnight, updating your daily activity.
  2. Manual Sync – Sync your activity instantly during the day.

1. Nightly Sync

Each night, around midnight, Moves+ automatically syncs with your tracker and logs your day’s activity. This data appears in the ‘View Older Activity’ log and updates your total points and profile graph.

2. Manual Sync

Manual sync allows you to pull in points from your current day’s activity to Moves+. These points will appear in your 'Today's Activity Summary' and be added to your total. If you’ve completed any challenges, bonus points will also sync.

Do I Need to Manually Sync?

No, manual sync is optional. Moves+ will automatically sync your activity each night, provided your tracking app is up to date. To ensure accurate syncing:

  • Open your tracking app daily to update the data.
  • If your activity is missing after a nightly sync, check your tracker’s settings.

🚀 Pro Tips:

  • You will only earn points for activities completed after connecting your tracker.
  • Strava users cannot manually sync; their data is only updated during the nightly sync.
