Why has my Android activity stopped syncing?

A known issue is stopping activity syncing for some Android users. This explains what is happening, what to do, and what happens to the points you have missed.

Time required: 3 minutes

User role: App user

Applies to: Android only

Module: Moves+ app > Profile > Tracker

Overview

⚠️ This is a known issue and we are working on it. You have not done anything wrong, and you do not need to keep trying to fix it.

Some Android users stopped receiving points for their activity around the end of April 2026. Their tracker app records the activity correctly, but nothing arrives in Moves+.

iPhone users are not affected by this issue.

Does this apply to me?

It probably does if all of the following are true:

Check Details
✅ You are on Android iPhone users are not affected
✅ Your activity stopped counting around late April or early May 2026 Many people report 29 or 30 April specifically
✅ Your tracker app still shows your activity correctly The activity is being recorded, it is just not reaching Moves+
✅ You are on Moves+ version 5.4.0 or 5.4.7 Check your app store listing or the app's settings

It affects Health Connect whether you use it on its own or with something feeding into it, including Samsung Health, Google Fit, Garmin Connect and smart rings.

What to do

1. Update the app when the next version is available

The fix arrives in Moves+ version 5.5.0. Once it is available in the Play Store, update to it.

2. Reconnect your tracker after updating

Open the app, go to Profile, then Tracker, and reconnect Health Connect.

3. Give it 24 hours

Activity should start counting again from that point. Allow a full day before judging whether it has worked, because a complete sync runs overnight.

What about the points I have missed?

Updating to the new version starts your activity counting again. It does not backdate the points you missed while this was happening.

Adjustments for a missed period are made by your organisation, not by OpenPlay. Your organisation decides whether to apply an adjustment and how much. If you would like your missed period looked at, contact your organisation's Moves+ team with the dates it stopped and the date it started again.

See Check List: Why am I missing Moves+ points? for anything that is not this issue.

Troubleshooting

My activity stopped, but not in April. Is this the same thing?
Probably not. Work through Check List: Why am I missing Moves+ points? first.

I am on an iPhone and my activity has stopped.
This issue is Android only. Start with the Check List.

Will I lose my existing points and badges?
No. Everything you have already earned stays on your account, and so does your leaderboard position.

Should I stop using my tracker in the meantime?
No. Keep using it as normal. Your tracker app keeps its own record, which is useful if your organisation asks for the affected dates.

How do I check which version of Moves+ I am on?
Open the Play Store, search for Moves+, and the installed version is shown on the app's page.
