Signing in to Moves+ with your organisation account

How to sign in to the Moves+ app with your organisation account, and what to do if something does not work.

Time required: 2 minutes

User role: App user

Module: Moves+

Summary

Your organisation has turned on sign-in with your organisation account. You now sign in to Moves+ with the same username and password you use for everything else at your organisation, and you do not need a separate Moves+ password.

✅ One less password to remember.

✅ The same sign-in you already use, including any extra security steps your organisation has set up.

✅ Your Moves+ points, badges and activity history stay with you, as long as you sign in with the right email address. See Which email address to use below.

How to sign in

1. Open the Moves+ app

Open the app and go to the sign-in screen.

2. Select your organisation

Choose your organisation from the list.

3. Sign in with your organisation account

  • Click "Sign in with SSO".
  • Your organisation's own sign-in page opens. Enter your organisation username and password there, and complete any extra security step your organisation asks for, such as an authenticator app code.

4. You are signed in

Once your organisation confirms who you are, you return to the app, signed in and ready to go.

Which email address to use

Many organisations give you two email addresses for the same account:

  • One based on your user, student or staff number, such as s1234567@organisation.com
  • One based on your name, such as a.person@organisation.com

Both usually reach the same inbox, but Moves+ treats them as different addresses. If you used one address to register for Moves+ and your organisation signs you in with the other, Moves+ will not recognise you and you will start again with no points or badges.

If that happens, do not create a new account. Contact your organisation IT service desk or Moves+ support through the app, and we can put your account back together.

Common questions

Do I need to create a new account?
No. If you already used Moves+, your existing account carries over with your points, badges and challenge history, as long as the email address matches.

My points and badges have disappeared.
This is almost always the two email addresses described above. Do not create a new account or you will end up with two. Get in touch and we will merge them.

What happened to my Moves+ password?
You no longer need it, and it no longer works. Your organisation account is now the only way to sign in.

I have forgotten my password. Can Moves+ reset it?
Your password belongs to your organisation, so use your organisation's own password reset or contact their IT service desk. Moves+ cannot see or change it.

Can I still sign in with my personal email address?
No. Once your organisation has switched this on, only your organisation account works.

I get an error after signing in at my organisation's page.
This usually means something is missing from the details your organisation sends us, such as your name. Contact your organisation IT service desk and let them know you cannot sign in to Moves+; they can check the settings at their end.

Nothing happens when I tap sign in.
Check you have a working internet connection, close the app fully and open it again. If it still does not work, make sure you are on the latest version of the app from the App Store or Google Play.

My organisation is not in the list.
Your organisation may not have Moves+ set up for organisation sign-in yet. Check with them before trying anything else.

I have left the organisation. Can I still use Moves+?
No. Once your organisation account is closed, your access to Moves+ ends with it.

Who to contact

Problems with your username, password or extra security step: your organisation IT service desk. These are your organisation's credentials, so only they can help.

Problems inside the Moves+ app once you are signed in, such as missing points or activity: contact support through the app as usual.
