2026-04: Moves+ Releases in April

A Moves+ app release went to the App Store and Google Play at the end of April, carrying the partner points experience described below. Admin dashboard updates are delivered continuously.

Introducing partner points and branded challenges

🚀 What is new

  • A separate pool of partner points that members earn and spend independently of their standard Moves+ points, shown on the home screen, profile and challenge screens.
  • Partner-branded challenge and reward screens, with a redesigned header, larger imagery and a dedicated "How to Win" section explaining the rules.
  • Filtering on the challenges and rewards pages, so members can find partner content without scrolling past everything else.
  • A complete redemption flow for partner rewards, with its own balance and eligibility rules.
  • Scheduled campaign notifications, so a sequence of push messages can be planned across a campaign week in advance.
  • Admin configuration for partner categories, partner-points challenges and partner rewards.

🎯 What's in it for your members

  • A visibly different, sponsor-branded experience that stands apart from everyday challenges.
  • A second way to earn and redeem, without affecting their standard points balance.
  • Clear rules up front, so it is obvious how to take part and what winning requires.

This capability is available to run again for future partner or sponsor activity.

Improvements

Richer reward presentation

  • Rewards now support up to five images, displayed as a carousel members can tap to enlarge.
  • Redesigned reward and challenge cards with larger imagery.
  • Clearer points labels on the home and profile screens.

Better performance across the platform

  • Job monitoring was added across the platform, so processing problems are now visible as they happen rather than after a member reports them.
  • The system health dashboard was optimised and now loads considerably faster.

Fixes & reliability improvements

  • Trackers: Fixed a crash affecting Apple Health activity where an expected field was absent. This single fault had produced over 400,000 errors and was preventing activity from being processed.
  • Trackers: Resolved activity records being silently dropped when processing overlapped, so activity is no longer lost in busy periods.
  • Trackers: Removed a legacy sync table that was still being written to alongside the current one, a source of inconsistency between the two.
  • Platform: Resolved a same-day production incident where the platform ran out of cache memory, which had been causing errors and delaying notifications.
  • Moves+ app: Fixed the profile bar chart not displaying activity data correctly.
  • Moves+ app: Fixed the activity tab being unviewable for some members.
  • Moves+ app: Fixed the challenge progress tab and its download button not behaving as expected.
  • Reporting: Restored swimming data to the activity report.
  • Reporting: Fixed report downloads where data sources had populated but the file would not generate.
  • Users: Fixed members being unable to register with a message that their email address was already in use, when it was held only against an inactive record.
  • Leaderboards: Fixed a leaderboard query timing out for larger clients.
  • Challenges: Fixed a partner category being silently dropped when saving a published challenge, which stopped points being awarded correctly.
  • Challenges: Fixed a missing thousand separator on challenge goal amounts.
