Yes, through Health Connect. Samsung Health is not a direct connection to Moves+, it feeds Health Connect and Moves+ reads your activity from there.
Time required: 5 minutes
User role: App user
Applies to: Android only
Module: Moves+ app > Profile > Edit Profile > My Tracker
Overview
Yes. Moves+ counts steps, running, cycling and swimming recorded by Samsung Health, including activity from a Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Fit.
Samsung Health is not a direct connection. You cannot connect the Samsung Health app to Moves+ on its own. Samsung Health writes your activity into Health Connect, and Moves+ reads it from there. Health Connect is the connection you make in Moves+.
Steps
1. Install Health Connect
Health Connect is built into Android 14 and later. On older versions, install Health Connect by Android free from the Play Store.
2. Let Samsung Health write into Health Connect
Open Samsung Health, go to Settings > Health Connect, and grant permission for steps and for distance for running, cycling and swimming.
3. Connect Health Connect to Moves+
In Moves+, go to Profile > Edit Profile > My Tracker and tap Connect next to Health Connect, then allow the permissions when prompted.
Full instructions with screenshots are in How do I connect Health Connect with Moves+?
Once connected, your activity from Samsung Health will sync to Moves+.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find Samsung Health in the Moves+ tracker list.
That is expected. Connect Health Connect instead, and Samsung Health feeds it.
My steps show in Samsung Health but not in Moves+.
Open Health Connect and check that it holds recent steps. If it is empty, Samsung Health is not yet permitted to write into it. Check Samsung Health's Health Connect settings again.
Should I disconnect anything to fix it?
No. Please do not disconnect your tracker. Check permissions first, then pull down to refresh the Moves+ home screen and allow a full day.
How long does it take?
New activity usually reaches Moves+ within a few hours, and a fuller sync runs overnight. Allow at least one full day after connecting.
My Galaxy Watch activity is missing.
Make sure your watch has synced to Samsung Health on your phone first, then Samsung Health into Health Connect. Each step in the chain has to complete.
My Android activity stopped syncing around the end of April 2026.
The fix has shipped in Moves+ version 5.5.0, released on 17 September 2026. See Why has my Android activity stopped syncing?
It is still not working.
