In this article, we will guide you through the steps to create a fast ticket template.
Fast Tickets allows customers to book multiple tickets under one booking. For example, you can book a family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children. Below is an example of what the customer will see when making a fast ticket item.

From the home page, go to the 'Activities' Module

Select Templates

On the top right of your screen select 'Fast Ticket Template'
4. Enter a Reference and click Create - this is an internal-only name for this activity template.
- Complete the fields on the General tab:
- Display name - A customer-friendly name for the activity.
- Activity Category - A top-level group for this activity type - i.e. Swimming Activities. Learn How to Create an Activity Category here.
- Tags (Optional)
Default settings - these settings can be overwritten when configuring each schedule using this template (Except for the Brief Description, Image and Video URL that only populate on Open Active)
- Spaces - How many spaces can this activity have
- Activity duration - The default duration per activity.
- Setup duration - The default setup duration before the activity i.e., how long does it take you to set up any equipment for this activity?
- Teardown duration - The default teardown duration after the activity i.e., how long does it take you to teardown any equipment for this activity?
- Description: This is only for OpenActive integration.

Click the Update button at this stage!

Click the Facility Availability tab, this section allows you to restrict which facilities can use this template.

Complete the fields on the Booking & Access tab:

Default availability - The default availability for this booking i.e., Online and Offline means the activity can be booked via FOH and the customer bookings app.

Allow customers to book activities created with this template at the same time as other bookings - Ticking this box allows customers to book into multiple activities at the same time as this one i.e., a customer can book into squash at 1 pm and their child into a creche booking at the same time.
- Allow activities created with this template to overlap other activities until booked - This can be set to 'Never, 'Always' or 'If they have the same Template'
- Allow customers to book activities created with this template at the same time as other bookings - Ticking this box will allow customers to book more than one activity at the same time if with this template and setting enabled. i.e. You could book a gym session and a creche at the same time.

Allow anonymous bookings - Ticking this box allows FOH to make bookings for customers without an account.

Pre-Booking notice - Here you can include any text you would like to show to the customer before they confirm the booking online.
Access:

Minutes before the activity starts the user can still access the facility to attend - This allows the customer to gain access to the facility via turnstiles before the start of the booking.

Minutes after the activity starts the user can still access the facility to attend - This allows the customer to gain access to the facility via turnstiles after the start of the booking.
Advance Booking (this will automatically feed from the Global Setting but you can override the values on the Template):
- Advance booking FOH: Choose how far in advance customers can book this activity at Front of House, you can tailor this by the type of customer booking
- Advance booking Online: Choose how far in advance customers can book this activity at Front of House, you can tailor this by the type of customer booking
Advance Booking Cut-off (this will automatically feed from the Global Setting but you can override the values on the Template):
- Advance Booking cut-off FOH: Choose how many days before the event that customers can book at Front of House
- Advance Booking cut-off online: Choose how many days before the event that customers can book online e.g. 2 days in advance means the customer can book up until 2 days before the event
Max Number of Bookable Tickets
- Max Number of Bookable Tickets at FOH: Choose how many tickets can be book front of house
- Max Number of Bookable Tickets at FOH: Choose how many tickets can be book front of house
N.B: You must set the Max Number of Bookables tickets at FOH and Online or you will NOT be able to publish your template

Click the Update button again!

Click the Ticket Type tab to create the ticket that the customer will book
- Name: Name of the Ticket
- Pricing option: the price of the ticket for this particular ticket type e.g. if you are creating a child ticket type, the price could be £5, adult ticket type the price could be £10 and family ticket type the price could be £20. (you will need to create multiple pricing options, if you have not created your pricing option, go to the Create a Fast Ticket pricing option)
- Spaces: the amount of spaces from the capacity this ticket will take when purchased e.g. adult ticket type is 1 space, family ticket type is 4 spaces because family ticket consists of 2 adults and 2 children.
- Add Extra (if you want to POS Items to purchased alongside the ticket type) and select the POS Pricing Option. (E.G., Swim Goggles with a Swim Fast Ticket)
11. Add custom questions by clicking on the custom questions tab. You can ask customers questions when making the booking. e.g. What are the names of the attendees on this ticket?
12. Confirm the penalties setting on the Advanced tab and click on 'Save'.
- No - if a customer cancels outside of the late cancellation period or does not attend will be subject to the global settings - Cancellation Cut-off Action & No-show penalty type.
13. Open Active - This will allow you to publish activities via Open Active
- Open Active enabled: Selecting Yes will enable this activity to be published on Open Active Websites.
- Activity References: Select up to 3.
- Gender Restriction: Select Female only, Male only or No restriction.
- Age Range: Enter an age bracket or leave as no minimum/no maximum.
- Facility Setting: Select an Indoor or Outdoor facility
- Accessibility information: Provide information on how certain disabilities can be supported.
- Accessibility Support: Specify the types of disabilities or impairments that can be supported at an event.
- Attendee instructions: Provide any instruction needed by the attendee, i.e., how to find the event.
- Activity Experience Levels: select Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced
- Virtual Coach: Select Yes, No or No Set.
- Confirm you want to make the changes and click on 'Save'.
Please note: Making changes to Fast Ticket Templates such as adding extra tickets will not update any existing schedules. These changes will only apply to newly created schedules after the template has been updated.
