Summary
Recent Customer Tabs help Front of House staff quickly return to customers they have recently searched for without needing to perform another search.
The system automatically keeps track of your most recently viewed customers and displays them as tabs for easy switching.
How It Works
When you search for and open a customer in Front of House, they are automatically added to your recent customer tabs.
The system displays up to three recently searched customers.
Step-By-Step Guide
- Search for and open a customer.
- The customer will appear in the recent customer tabs area.
- Select any recent customer tab to immediately return to that customer.
When selected, the customer record and associated cart information are loaded into Front of House.
Active Customer Tab
The currently active customer is clearly highlighted in the tab bar, making it easy to see which customer you are currently working with.
All Front of House activity is recorded against the active customer, including:
- Bookings
- Orders
- Transactions
- Other customer-related actions
Always ensure the correct customer tab is selected before completing an action.
Persistence of Recent Customers
Recent customer tabs remain available and do not automatically clear after periods of inactivity.
This allows staff to switch between customers throughout the day without repeatedly searching.
Important Notes
Maximum Number of Recent Customers
The system stores up to three recent customer tabs.
As new customers are searched, older entries are replaced by more recent searches.
Local Device Storage
Recent customer tabs are stored locally on the computer being used.
This means:
✅ Available when returning to the same computer.
❌ Not available on another computer, even when using the same account.
❌ May be removed if browser cache, local storage, or site data is cleared.
Interaction with Pinned Customers
If a customer has been pinned, they will appear as a pinned tab rather than a recent customer tab.
Pinned customers always take priority over recent customer tabs.
