The Moves+ admin dashboard

What the Moves+ admin dashboard is for, how to sign in, and where to find each area.

User role: Administrator

Module: Moves+ admin

What the admin dashboard is for

The admin dashboard is where you run Moves+ for your organisation. You use it to look after your users, set up challenges, rewards and groups, send app notifications, set how points work, and run reports.

Members never see the admin dashboard. They use the Moves+ app.

Signing in

You sign in on the Login to dashboard page with your work email address. After you enter your Email Address and select Continue, one of two things happens:

  • You are asked for your Password, then you select Login.
  • If your organisation uses single sign-on, you are sent to your organisation's own sign-in page.

If you forget your password, use the Staff Password Reset link on the password step. If you do not have an account, ask an administrator at your organisation to create one under Staff, or contact us.

The home page

After you sign in, the home page shows a tile for each area your organisation uses.

TileWhat it opens
MovesThe Moves Dashboard and everything for the app: users, challenges, rewards, groups, points and settings.
ReportingReports and scheduled reports.
CustomersOnly if your organisation has it. Some user tasks live here today, such as personal details, notes and data deletion requests. We are bringing these onto the user's page in the Users area.
System ConfigurationOrganisation-wide tools, such as Settings and Staff (administrator accounts). The tools you see depend on your setup.

The Moves Dashboard

The Moves tile opens the Moves Dashboard. The top row gives you a quick view of how Moves+ is being used.

FigureWhat it shows
Active usersMembers with recorded activity in the period, out of all registered users.
Active user changeThe change in active users compared with the period before.
Steps loggedTotal steps recorded in the period.
Avg steps / userAverage steps per active member per day.
New usersMembers who joined in the last 7 days. This figure is live.

The activity figures cover the dates printed under them, normally the last 7 days. If no activity has been recorded recently, the dashboard shows the latest full week it has and says so.

Below the figures are four cards:

  • Users: Manage users opens the Users page.
  • Engage: Challenges, Rewards, Groups, User survey and App notifications.
  • System configuration: Points, Activity records, User import (only if your organisation uses user import) and Settings.
  • Reports: View all reports opens Reporting.

The sidebar today

Inside Moves, the sidebar is a single list: Moves Dashboard, User Survey, Groups, Challenges, Rewards, Partner Categories, Points Conversion, Users, User Import (only if you use user import), App Notifications, Settings and Reset Points.

Points (which holds Daily Points Settings) and Activity records are not in the sidebar. Open them from the System configuration card on the Moves Dashboard.

We are simplifying the navigation. The sidebar will be grouped into Users, Engage, System configuration and Reporting, matching the dashboard and this Help Centre, with a link to this Help Centre.

Who can do what

Every staff user with access to Moves can see and do everything in it. There are no separate roles or permissions inside Moves. For example, any administrator can change a user's points, deactivate users or reset points for everyone.

When an administrator account is created under Staff, your organisation can limit which areas it opens, for example Reporting only. Give Moves access only to people who need it.
