This guide explains how a customer can cancel their membership through your booking website.
Note: Membership cancellation is only available if it has been enabled in your Membership Settings.
Step-by-Step Guide

Log in to the Booking Website

The customer visits your booking website.

They click on ‘Log In’ and enter their Customer ID or Email address and password.

Click ‘Login’.

Access the Account Area

Once logged in, the customer clicks on ‘My Account’.

Open the Membership Section
-
In the account menu, the customer clicks on the ‘Membership’ tab.

Manage the Membership
-
They scroll down to the membership they wish to cancel and click on ‘Manage Membership’.

Cancel the Membership
-
Click on ‘Cancel Membership’.

Cancellation Process: What Happens Next
If Cancelling a Recurring Membership

A message will appear showing the required notice period, based on your settings under:
System Configuration > Ongoing Membership Cancellation Notice Period. -
The customer will see:

The final payment date, and
-
The final active day of their membership.

If they are happy to proceed, they click ‘Cancel Membership’ again to confirm.
If Cancelling a Fixed-Term Membership

Cancellation is immediate, regardless of the original expiration date.
After Cancellation

A confirmation message will appear letting the customer know the cancellation was successful.

For recurring memberships, the status will update to:
‘Active – Cancellation Pending (Final Date)’ -
For fixed memberships, the status will change immediately to reflect the cancellation.
