Allow Online Membership Changes

Summary

FLOW includes a setting that allows you to determine whether customers can change their memberships online. This guide will show you how to configure the global setting and explain how it can be overridden at the Membership Group or Membership Type level.


Step-by-Step Guide

1. Access System Configuration

  1. From the Home Page, navigate to the System Configuration Module.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Click on Manage Settings.

2. Configure the Global Setting

  1. From the Category Dropdown, select Memberships and click Search.

  2. Locate the Allow Online Membership Changes setting and click Edit.

  3. Update the setting:
    • Select "Yes" to enable online membership changes.
    • Select "No" to disable the feature.

  4. Click Save to confirm your changes.

Setting Overrides

The Allow Online Membership Changes setting can be overridden at more specific levels:

  1. Membership Group Level:

    • Overrides the global setting for all memberships within a specific group.
  2. Membership Type Level:

    • Takes precedence over both the Membership Group and Global settings.

Hierarchy of Settings

The effective setting is determined by the following hierarchy (lowest priority at the top):

  1. Global Setting
  2. Membership Group Setting
  3. Membership Type Setting
