This guide explains how to configure various availability and restriction settings for pricing options. These settings allow you to control who can purchase specific items or activities based on date, age, gender, and customer status.
Date restriction
Purpose: Limits the availability of an item or activity to a specific date range.
- Functionality: When a date restriction is set, the item or activity can only be purchased within the specified start and end dates. Outside of these dates, the item will not be available for purchase.
Age restriction
Purpose: Restricts the purchase of an item or activity based on the customer's age.
- Functionality: Items or activities will only be available for customers within the specified age range (inclusive). If the customer’s age is unknown or if the purchase is anonymous, setting an age restriction will render the pricing option unavailable.
.
Gender restriction
Purpose: To limit the availability of an item or activity based on the customer's gender.
Functionality: When this restriction is enabled, only customers whose gender matches the selected option can purchase the item or activity. If the customer's gender is unknown or if the purchase is made anonymously, the pricing option will be unavailable unless the "Unknown" option is also selected, which permits access to those with unspecified gender information.
Customer restriction
Purpose: To ensure that only identified customers can purchase specific items or activities.
Functionality: When this restriction is active, the pricing option will only be available after a customer has logged in or been selected in the Front of House (FOH) dashboard. This restriction prevents anonymous purchases and allows for greater control over who can access the pricing option.
Activity Restriction
Purpose: To enforce prerequisites, such as waivers or induction requirements, before a membership can be purchased or an activity booked.
Functionality: This restriction allows you to mandate that certain conditions be met—such as signing a waiver or completing an induction—before a customer can purchase a membership or book an activity. These requirements can be configured to be fulfilled either before or after the purchase.
Memberships (Optional)
Purpose: To limit access to specific activities or POS items based on a customer's membership status.
Functionality: This restriction ensures that only customers with certain memberships can access specific activities or purchase designated POS items. Note: This restriction should not be applied to membership pricing options, as it would make those options unavailable to customers who are not already enrolled in the required memberships.
