How to create a Freeze pricing option?

Summary

This guide will show you how to create a Freeze pricing option, which is used when a customer requests to temporarily freeze their membership. The freeze fee can be set to any amount, including £0 if you do not wish to charge customers for this service. This fee will be charged every month that this freeze is applied to recurring memberships. This fee will not apply to fixed memberships.

Note: Do not select Member or non-Member as the type. Leave blank.

Step-by-step guide

1. From the home screen, select the 'Pricing Option' module.
   
   
   
    
2. Within the Pricing Options module, select the 'Pricing Option' submodule.

3. In the top-right corner of the screen, click 'Create Pricing Option.'
   
   
   
    
4. Fill in the Pricing Option details and click on 'create'.
   
   

• Reference: Enter a unique identifier for this pricing option. While underscores (_) can replace spaces for standardisation purposes, it’s not mandatory.
• Price: This is the standard global price for the freeze fee..
• Friendly Name: This is the name the customers will see when purchasing an item.
• GL Code: A string of alphanumeric characters assigned to an entry in the general ledger. E.G. GL Code 1010 could be the GL code for memberships.
• Type: Choose 'Freeze' from the ticket type dropdown.

6. Add a price on the facility level if applicable. For example, a fitness class at one facility may be cheaper than another.

A) From the centre drop-down, select the facility you wish to add a price to.

B) Click on 'Create New Price'.

C) Fill in the details (Price, Type, Time Bands, Dates, etc.). 
Reminder: Leave the type blank, or it will create issues when Freeze Requests are submitted.

D) Repeat for other venues/Setting Group if needed.

7. Adjustment (Optional and can typically be ignored for a Freeze Pricing Option).

You can create pricing adjustments at the Global, Group, or Facility level based on criteria like membership, age, timebands, or dates. Please refer to the adjustments guide for detailed instructions.
