Summary
This guide explains how to configure the Access Control Readmission Restriction in FLOW.
This feature allows you to set the duration (in minutes) that must pass before a customer can re-enter a venue after a successful visit. By default, this value is set to 60 minutes, but you can update it using the steps below.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Access the Setting
- From the home page, navigate to the System Configuration module.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Manage Settings.
- From the Category dropdown, choose Front of House, and then click Search.
- Locate the setting named Access Control Readmission Restriction Minutes (Passback Rule) and click Edit.
2. Update the Global Setting
- Enter the desired value (in minutes) for the readmission restriction.
- Example: Setting the value to 30 means a customer must wait 30 minutes before re-entering the venue.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Overriding the Readmission Restriction
You can override the global setting in three different locations:
- Go to the Group Overrides tab in the setting.
- Click Edit next to the group for which you want to override the setting.
- Enter the desired value (in minutes).
- Click Save to apply the changes.
- Note: Ensure you’ve created the group beforehand if it does not already exist.
B. Facility Overrides
- Go to the Facility Overrides tab in the setting.
- Click Edit next to the facility for which you want to override the setting.
- Enter the desired value (in minutes).
- Click Save to apply the changes.
C. Activity Pricing Options
The Max Uses setting under the Access Control tab in the Activity Pricing Options (Booking or Fast Ticket) can override both the global and override settings.
- For example: If Max Uses is set to 2, a customer can enter the venue twice using the pricing option token, regardless of the readmission restriction value set in the Passback Rule.
This guide ensures you can manage and customize the Access Control Readmission Restriction settings globally or for specific groups, facilities, or activities.
